I hate when people say they love the movie. They just have no idea how good the character actually is.

Not as good as Watchmen. There's a sense of balance that this lacks; must everyone be an extremist? I guess that's what the book is arguing, but still, I enjoyed the middle men of Watchmen. V is an interesting character, and the story is well told. Moore has a knack for using the words and pictures to discuss different things while maintaining the same theme. Like when he has the voice of the television shout "You can't come in here!" as V is entering a room. I like his style.

Alan Moore provides extrodinary touch of future-esk government with some good old fashioned revenge. V the main character was placed in a resttlement camp by the government and when he broke out swore to get his revenge on the people that put him there. He then takes out every high official and meets Evey, a woman struggling to find out who she is. They together plot out how to make britain a better place for good.

A revolution in graphic novels, V for Vendetta is an amazing choice for anyone who is looking for a challenging and interesting GN. If you've never tried graphic novels before, this is a great place to start!

Alan Moore is overrated. Yeah, I said it. *comic nerd throwdown*

As usual, Moore sets up a premise and setting that hooks the reader. I read it in a day, absolutely involved in this world. He handles fascism with realism: I thought it would be more heavy-handed. You care about the lonely girl and what will become of her. You desperately want to know who V is and what has happened to him that makes him so feared even before he begins his vendetta.

But as usual, he lets you down.

And it doesn't help that fanboys go on and on, making the judgement all the more critical for the buildup.
