This book is a haunting look at the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty through the story of a young woman in WWII. There are definitely mature topics involved and I would give this only to an older teen. The tale is sad, moving, and unfortunately, within the realm of possibility.

Ok, this was interesting to say the least. Jane Yolen often surprises me, and this was fun to read, but I was uncomfortable with the hefty references to gays.
