“A wonderful TRUE story of a city girl who moved to a farm. If you have ever yearned for animals, "country" friends, the beauty of the land, and had to make some adjustments in your mind about it all...you will love this story! A great read!”

Pretty funny store of a middle aged woman & her boyfriend who decide to leave city life and go live on a farm in Rural Pennsylvania where everyone's name is Joe and farm life is not quite the fantasy they were thinking it would be. Kind of one of those "charming" stories with a giggly twist. The ups and downs associated with adjusting to farm life, many animals & country neighbors. ”
“Non fiction about living your dreams.”

Yes, God is mentioned, but is not the center of the author's world. Her search to find herself on a farm ultimately falls short for me because finding one's true self is really being found and rescued by God as a sinner in need of the Savior Jesus Christ. It is in dying to self and living for Christ that one finds her true self. Galatians 2:20 says," I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God." When one experiences the wonders of this truth and embraces it, all of life is viewed through a God-lens that brings so much lasting/eternal meaning, peace, and joy!”

A recurring theme through this delightful story is the author trying to distinguish the difference between solitude and loneliness. Some very profound moments in this upbeat, often funny story about city folk moving to the country.”
