  “Here’s a little trivia for you – Sheridan Sakura Carlotta’s first bona fide Romance novel ever read, was an old tattered and slightly yellowed Harlequinn Romance paperback she had found in her attic while attempting to pack away all her old high school pom poms and cheerleading trophies one ordinary summer’s day. The plot? Gorgeous rich and successful boss, poor part-time secretary who had disguised her good looks in order to land the job. It is no wonder therefore that my favorite Romance Hero of all time is Matthew “I will give you paradise” Farrell, he of the successful corporate raider who can raid my panty drawer any time he likes.
  
  Though Rory Baxter is no Matthew Farrell (sorry Rory), I’d still be willing to temp in his firm any day of the week (he is after all, the Alpha Male lead in a Romance novel so there is no need to expand on his many manly virtues). Having just returned from the company’s office in America, Rory meets Lissa at an office party, the nubile legs-that-never-end (“lust on legs” is what he calls her) pretty young thing, who just happens to temping at the London office. Instantly the two are attracted to each other, inciting all sorts of sparks when they make physical contact. Unfortunately for Lissa, she thinks Rory is someone else so dishes to Rory all the office gossip swirling around the arrival of this new partner who has transferred in to the London office. Oopsie. Rory of course, finds this charming because really all he is thinking about is how fast he can get her into his bed and whether there’s some sort of record going on between the rest of the Alpha Males. Yeah alright I made the last one up. I’m sorry; I’m feeling a little bitter.
