    • A Father's Law isIn the opening chapter of this book, Ruddy receives a novel by Richard rightphone call from his office saying that was left unfinished. Written inthe 1960's. The main character, Ruddy, is an officer of the law who has just been promoted. He goescommisioner wants to take over the job of Police Chief for an upper class, white, area. He struggles with solving the murders that are taking place and how his son, Tommy, is starting to look very guilty of the murders. While in school Tommy has been studying, and been very interested in, the psycholgical interests of criminals and the punishement of them.see him at 2:00 am.
