I ended up reading a free online copy of this book put out by the publisher. I would've paid for it, though, because the story is something that really interests me.

First, I found the book incredibly gory, bloody & grossssssssss! I like gory, bloody & gross, but this was REALLY, really gory. However, it really helps build the suspense and anxiety the reader needs to be sucked in by this book, because the plot is a little out there.

I was a little disappointed by the end, though. I wish that the author had explored the reasoning for the infection more. I kind of felt like the science aspect, which seemed so important in the beginning, was just kind of forgotten. Maybe he's planning a sequel? :)

The ending seemed a little rushed, a little too much like a "The End...?" cliffhanger without drama. Despite being a little gory for my taste, the concept behind the book and the way the "dialogue" with the bad guys was written was scary as hell. I'm glad I read this during the daytime!

This was a wild ride! I loved it!

Not for those that have a light stomach, though.

Of course I give this friggin' five stars. And yeah, when I ran for class elections, I voted for myself.

Strange alien spores infect humans and make them do violent things - not quite my cup of tea, but hey, I finished the book in record time. ~Judy

A real page turner, provocative, scary and sick as hell at times. You won't put it down or stop itching for days.

Yuck, yuck, yuck! The literary equivalent of a SciFi Original movie, with all the gore, blood and horror you can tolerate. Definitely not for the squeamish! I loved the Michigan setting, especially having lived in A2 for a couple of years. I was definitely left feeling like I needed a literal and mental bath afterwards, though. Ugh.

Infected offered a lot of promise, but fell slightly short. The book is great page turner and keeps one on the edge of their seat until the very end, then falls flat. The beginning storyline felt as if it could develop into a plausible scenario with Doomsday proportions. It than began to take a turn into the unbelievable which was very disappointing for a first time published author. This book should be recommended for the promise of what the author can produce in the future, but should be read as a script for The Outer Limits with no underlying moral.

I was hoping for a really good sci-fi/horror book to read, but I ended up disappointed. Though the invading enemy was unique, and the effects grew, the book really lacked a new twist on an old theme, and there was now "big" ending. This was basic run-of-the-mill sci-fi/horror, with nothing to make it stand out. The best parts to read were the chapter titles.
