Much faster pace and more interesting than the previous one. The interpersonal relationships get a little more intense and some new people are thrown into the mix as well And we discover something very surprising about the zombie virus(?) along thew way.

Not quite as good as the first two volumes, but Robert Kirkman continues to keep his epic, thought provoking, filled with humanity and moral ambiguity. I think what's slightly different in this volume is that there's less of a sense of hope at the end of it all.

One great thing about Kirkman’s series is the moral ambiguity of so many of the characters. What are you willing to do to survive? How do people cope when everything they have ever known is gone? As the series continues I’m enjoying this journey, but I do have a few nitpicks. One: I miss Moore’s art from Volume One. Two: Some of the characters are a bit cardboard stereotypical in their characterization which occasionally gets frustrating and annoying. (Does every woman have to be crazy, weak, or cranky?) I know some may find this series a bit soap opera-y at times, especially the romance angle, but sometimes you just need companionship. No one wants to be alone when the world falls down and I think Kirkman is trying to capture that. This continues to be a great series.
