“I really enjoyed the philosophy of Love and Logic. I attended a week long seminar in Colorado several years ago. It completely changed the way that I parent. My 4 children were all teenagers then and it made life for all of us so much easier, as they were allowed to make choices and experience the consequence associated with it. The ideas were the closest I've seen to the way that our Heavenly Father parents his own children here on the earth. And He too, places the agency of His children high on His list of priorities, so that they can learn to make correct choices, based on Gospel Principles. I now have 109 missionary sons and daughters in the Ohio Cincinnati Mission that I am working with and this works fabulously for them as well. Just last Zone Conference I was reminding them that it is important to get their flu shots. One missionary wanted to know if that was an order. I responded that I can't "order" him to do anything, but that an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ had taken time in a meeting to say how important it is, and if he did that then the only question was whether he was going to follow the counsel of a Priesthood Leader or not. It is his choice, but if he got influenza or gave it to someone who's immune system was compromised, he would have to live with the consequences of that. It was great and there was no further argument. What have been your experiences with Love and Logic? ”
