“This book is a bunch of interviews with the Dalai Lama, and his life in exile. I felt I got to know the Dalai Lama quite well in this book, and the job he does in spreading the word about Tibet as well as Buddhism. I did get annoyed with the author at several points in the book where his writing verred off into pointless speculation about such things as 'celebrity' and 'media' and also at times wondering if the Dalai Lama was naive in his handling of relations with China's leaders which seemed provocative. The book does point out how much Tibetans implicitly trust the Dalai Lama to lead them which shows how devoted they are to this man.”
