I got to hear Pico Iyer speak a few weeks ago at Benaroya Hall as part of the Arts & Lecture Series. He was entertaining and very well-spoken; quite erudite, but accessible. He talked a lot about travel and his genre of writing, travel writing; his views of travel resonated with me.
