Once you started reading, you couldn’t stop flipping the pages to see what happened next. It was wonderfully written and a unique story. This is my first reincarnation novel and though I was a leery I was soon captivated. I loved all the similarities throughout the book, just enough to tie in the characters from one era to another. Loved the section on Jesus, thought that was ingenious. The author did a great job at creating realistic characters and pulling you into their story. Each era was a story in itself, yet wonderfully connected. ”

"Reincarnation" is a story of two lovers through time whose fates seem to always turn on them. In other words, they die before being able to truly be with one another. And they are not the only characters to continue their reincarnation: one soul is set to tear them apart and the mysterious emerald always pops up as sign of their unavoidable doom.
Whilst the idea is rather attractive for all of us romance-a-holics out there, this doesn't really cut it as much as I wish it did. I tend to enjoy Weyn's writing, and just like in most other books, the writing is overall well-done. My biggest problem is the scenes: some a really choppy and quick and move into the next time frame before you are ready while others stretch on for what seems like forever.
All in all, I enjoyed this book so I will recommend it for those who are looking for a light romantic (and in some way, historic) read but unfortunately it doesn't get very deep. It's the kind of book that you might want to spend a rainy day (or two) in your room reading for light-hearted amusement and eventual satisfaction.
