“So far so good - threw out all my old cleaning products and switched to Shaklee products. :-)”

She writes in a chatty fashion, very accessible to someone just getting into all of this. Easy to understand, not overwhelming, makes the life change to "green" living more approachable.
Still, a lot of her book reads like one big sales pitch for these "Shaklee" products...because it is. She refuses to endorse--and barely recommends--anything other branded natural/organic/green product (unless Shaklee doesn't already make it). Furthermore, she doesn't really offer any recipes for cleaning products that folks can easily make at home with ingredients they can buy for cheap at the grocery store on their next visit. (For these, see Super Baby Food.) The lack of such made it feel even more like an ad.
Nevertheless, I think she's done a service to the general population in writing this book. I plan on recommending it!”
“Gave extremely practical ideas that inspired me to change several habits immediately, and brainstorm the changes I want to move toward. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who feels overwhelmed by our environmental problems. I was particularly interested in the chapters about our cleaning supplies and cosmetic products. ”
