  • Shiffer Diamond: Divorced twice, this actress returns to New York and is temporarily residing at One Fifth Avenue.
  • Enid Merle: Enid lives on the 13th floor of One Fifth Avenue. Never married, she is the 2nd oldest resident and is a well respected and semi-retired gossip columnist.
  • Phillip Oakland: Phillip is a divorced twice bachelor living on the 13th floor of One Fifth Avenue next door to his Aunt Enid. Phillip writes screenplays and was once smitten with Shiffer Diamond.
  • Roberto: Head doorman at One Fifth Avenue
  • Louise Houghton: Elderly woman (oldest resident at One Fifth Avenue) who owns floors 14, 15 & 16. Louise is a well-loved patron of the arts.
