Didn’t Like It “This author only considers Christ to be a great teacher, which was a huge turn off for me. I believe the subtle energy written about comes from Jesus Christ! I'd suggest finding a better book on this subject.” see full review » see other reviews » |

“This is a wordy reiki book which describes the teaching in detail - even giving symbols. A lot of it though is the authors opinion which clashes with much of what is traditionally taught. Some parts prove useful but beware - the author adds her Wiccan New Age millenialism beliefs to the text and tries to make Reiki more than it really is.”

“this is a live changing book, you have to read it when you into working with energy off Reiki. it is my Reiki bible.”

“I think this is a great book for anyone interested in learning about Reiki - whether they want to learn how to perform it themselves or just have a treatment done. While I don't agree with everything the author says, I think this is a must-read for anyone that it attuned to do Reiki.”

“I really didn't know anything about Reiki, and someone mentioned it to me. I like the idea--it's very fitting with general Far Eastern healing. However, the idea that one must be initiated to perform the healing seems a bit elitist to me. I understand the logic behind it, but I would need some proof of worth before I dished out that much money to be "attuned."”

As I got further into the subject, though, I heard the bad reviews that the book has gotten. Perhaps it is stigma? I'm not sure. I, however, thought it was a good personal stepping off point for me.”

It guides one through the three levels of reiki, and discusses both traditional and nontraditional methods of attunement. It's just a lovely book with symbols and great guides to hand positions. I love it!!!”
