“Terri Brisbin, “Surrender to the Highlander” is a tale of betrayal and acceptance. Margriet Gunnarsdottir is summoned home after being in a convent for the last fourteen years. Rurik Erengishsson is her escort bound and determined to see her home. She adopts a disguise as a nun trying to hide her pregnancy in her nun's habit. She hides her secret from everyone not sure who to trust. The man she met in the forest had betrayed her with his lies and Margriet can trust no man. Unknown to Margriet, she is a pawn in Rurik’s brother, Finn, revenge against him. Rurik will have to choose between the woman he loves and his father’s legacy. I’m not sure but this has to be the worse book I ever read. The plot is choppy and you have no connection to any of the characters. When I read the back cover it sounded so good a girl disguised as a nun and hiding secrets but the story was anything but good. I would skip this story all together. A waste of time on all levels the book wasn’t even entertaining. I normally can find something good in a story but this was just bad all around.”
