“I love both of Wambaugh's Hollywood Station books and I'm looking forward to his third one, which I think is being called Hollywood Moon. I especially enjoy the realism of his books. His cops are real people, not heroes who chase bad guys around with guns blazing which seems to be the popular image. These cops go around and deal with the real petty criminals that fill most of their day's work, probably just like in Hollywood Crows, the same small time crooks again and again. I suspect the vignettes he writes about are drawn from real stories his cop buddies have told him. This is real police work. I highly recommend all Wambaugh's books, but especially his Hollywood Station series.”
