Emily is happy that she gets to go to school with other mermaids and the fact that she is getting along with her dad better. However, Jake and Mary P. keep on fighting, and their fighting causes Emily to think they may not want to be together anymore. Then, during a class outing, Emily finds a diamond ring. Neptune is angered by her discovery of the ring and curses her. His curse will make her either human or mermaid. She can never be both ever again, and she has to say goodbye to one of her parents forever. Emily finds out the history of the diamond ring and sets out to find a pearl ring that will hopefully bring the curse to an end. During her mission, she meets a new friend, Aaron, who also happens to be a semi-mer. Together, the two find the pearl ring and end Neptune's curse once and for all.

  • Millie: She used to be Emily's babysitter, but now she lives on Allpoints Island with Emily, Mary P., and Jake.
