Very good thriller, although at times a little confusing. Reminded me a little of Chris Bohjalian's Double Bind (but not as good).

Anna has a past she's trying to remember but she can't. Part of her wants to forget all about what she can remember and part of her wants to remember everything she can't. When it seems like her ex-lover is alive and looking for her when he was supposed to be dead her world starts falling apart. Things start happening. She thinks she's losing it. But, is she really? Is someone messing with her and trying to make her lose it? She's on a mission to figure out what is going on and to put her life back together again.

OMG, this was a terrific psychological thriller! It had me sitting on the edge of seat trying to figure out who was messing with this woman. Was it the past lover, a cop, her husband, her in-laws, her neighbor, who, who???? It twists and turns and I'm asking myself is this real or is she imagining it? Very good. I've only read "Beautiful Lies" by Ms. Unger and I'm definitely becoming a huge fan!

Having read "Beautiful Lies" which gripped me Harlan Coben style and kept me guessing all the way through I was looking forward to this; however I considered abandoning it half way through. The plot was initially slow moving and the various time-split strands interfered with my involvement. The novel was probably longer than was needed and the denouement was particularly contrived. (You expect to suspend a bit of disbelief but this was extreme!) Disappointing.

Lisa did it again. This time she is back with such power and strength. Her best to-date. You might be somewhat jumpy after the first read...but by the 5th time you read it, you will find yourself not only in love with it but also in search for more and for the strengths to be able to hold on until her next release.

I think this is the third book by this author and she has a way of weaving a pretty good story. This one the main character has been traumatized when she was young so she is prone to blackouts and then doesn't know everything that is going on in her life as she tries to hide. Pretty suspenseful in parts.
