Each story was special, they showed how animals can sense our needs, our pain, our sorrow. It was enlightening to read about how a couple gave hope back to both the neglected horses and to children & adults who were in need.

Didn’t Like It

I wanted to like this book given the subject: rescuing abandoned horses and rehabilitating them with abused/needy kids. I respect the author for the work she does, but honestly, she should have hired a writer. It's Reader's Digest level writing, if not worse; overly and unnecessarily descriptive and written to steer the reader to a specific reaction. Had the stories been told concisely there would be no need for manipulation; the stories can speak for themselves.
