Harlan Coben is in my top 5 authors of all time. His men are my type: wise-cracking, good-looking, self-deprecating, and ready to kick butt. The father in this story fits that sterotype, and I couldn't help but get drawn in to his horrific problem of a missing teenage son. How that fits in with a teacher who made a terrible mistake by making fun of a student, a divorced father, and a ruthless killer would be unimaginable. But Coben finds a way to intricately weave the stories together to...

Overkill! There was overkill in the book and in the drama. This is the third Harlan Coben book on my read shelf. I didn't care for the first two, but I doubt I will ever read another Coben novel.
The drama was too intense, too bloody, too gory, to extreme, too many characters, too many subplots.
Yes, it is brought together in the end like the rest of his books, but this was definitely overkill! A teen suicide, drug gothics, A rape victim killing a rapist, a drug club in New...

Harlan Coben is always a good read, and this book was a real page-turner. Several stories were interwoven within the major plot of the book, and there were several unexpected twists before Coben revealed how all of the characters and stories fit together. I read this one in just a few days because I couldn't put it down.

I love Harlen Coben, have not read this book yet. I'd like to know of other authors that I should try. Any suggestions?

I liked this book because there were so many plots, it was never boring. The teen problem is a universal one unfortunately these days but I found the murder plot not very believable.

Good, but not up to Coben's standards. He is trying to go with more plot and less fun character development. Too many subplots and too much weaving of less than plausible believability.
