I absolutely love the Mallory Family. I love James the most and Anthony second. This story has all three. The story starts with the abduction of Anthony's daughter Judith. Boyd, Georgina's youngest brother is in residence since James and Georgina are chasing pirates in the Caribbean. Boyd and...

This is romance writing at it's worst. There's telling, and telling, and telling, and telling instead of showing.

This book pretty much follows the same mold as Johanna Lindsey's other novels--the stubborn heroine meets a good-looking man, and the two spend the rest of the book arguing and lusting after each other before they confess their love and have a happy ending. Well, that was until I encountered the plot twist in No Choice But Seduction, which caught me off guard. Despite the other parts of the story being pretty much predictable, I thought it was sweet, and I really wanted Katey and Boyd together. It was a shame that Johanna Lindsey couldn't concentrate on the two enough or put in more scenes such as the one on the island to make their love seem more realistic.

I also have a problem with Johanna Lindsey's writing. She does create sweet stories with wonderful characters such as those in the Mallory Family series, but she needs to do a little more showing and a little less telling. I scanned over dozens of pages filled with useless explanations of other characters irrelevant to the story, and I also yawned in a few places.

This is romance writing at it's worst. There's telling, and telling, and telling, and telling instead of showing.

In one instance a scene takes place between the two main characters. Then there is another scene where they rehash the first scene. The scene wasn't that good to begin with and I don't consider a petty argument romantic tension. I find it as annoying as I do in real life.

I haven't gotten to the end of it yet but I can't wait until I do so I can get on to something better.
