    I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!

This is not your typical hot guy and size 2 women. The Character in this book is a size 12 and teaches a player (Tony) how to see a person for who they are and not what they look like on the outside.

I stayed up all night to finish this book. Warning: careful where you read this book...you will find yourself laughing out loud

This book was lots of fun. It's an "I went to Vegas and woke up married," book. The heroine is a bridesmaid for her cousin who is fuel for her mama's one-up-manship game with her sister, the heroine's mama. The heroine is a CPA who's focused on her career, not a marriage. The heroine's mama tries not to get into the competition, but it's just too hard. Her sister, the aunt, knows all the buttons to push. So the heroine goes to Vegas on a bridesmaid's bachelor party, and runs into a guy she knows from the neighborhood bar where she and her best friend like to go. He's trying to buy the bar, but lost his financing and is trying to win it in Vegas. Except he's lost his stake and is giving up when the heroine offers a lucky $10 chip she found. They go to play craps, because she's figured out how not to lose at it (her accountant's mind), and he wins. Then when they celebrate, one thing leads to another, and they wake up married. And she calls her mom to tell her, which makes it well nigh impossible to weasel out of it when they get home. This is a sweet, funny, good-hearted story I really enjoyed reading.

I expected a lot from this book, it got great reviews from my book challenge group, and while I enjoyed the story and the humor, it took me a long time to warm up to the hero. The story starts off with Tony taking $20,000 from Heather's Vegas jackpot. However, I can’t imagine what guy would take money so easily, that’s probably my main problem with this story. Anyways, their fake marriage turns into a real one, not an original story but some good moments. It’s the first book I’ve ever read by Jane Graves, and I won’t hesitate to pick up another book by her.

TALL TALES AND WEDDING VEILS is an entertaining romp of what can happen when you take a chance on fate. Jane Graves successfully blends passion, humor and heartache into a charming tale. The witty dialog keeps the story clipping along at a smooth pace, making it difficult to put down. Tony and Heather are perfect for each other, they just need to figure it out.

Tony, while being a die-hard bachelor, has a heart of gold, and would never see anyone hurt, especially Heather, though I want to smack him upside his head when his shallower self tries to poke through. Luckily for him, Heather is there to straighten him out. I really like that Heather, while not a knock-out beauty, is confident in herself and her intelligence. I particularly like the surprises that Heather's family continuously spring on the unsuspecting couple.

This was an enjoyable story. The main characters were really likeable, and I enjoyed that they spent a lot of the book together. It's nice when you see the relationship build because the characters are together so much.
