Let me amend one my comment here. Of course, the bashing will continue, we are all entitled to our opinions including those that suddenly hate me for stating mine. Let me just say I still respect Stephenie Meyer as a writer, she does do an excellent job at bringing you into her world. I still like the series, I'll probably read it again in the future. I just don't happen to like this book so much and I HAD to read it to know that. That being said I wouldn't discourage others from reading it if they have read the other three. You have to finish the series and form your opinion. And now my original review:

Ever since I started reading this series I felt kinda childish for liking it. I mean it is what it is...YA Fiction. However, no matter how immature I found most of it, I was addicted. I got sucked into Bella's world and could not escape. I completely understood the negative comments, though. Well now with Breaking Dawn I'm just downright embarrassed. Sure we all want a happy ending love story, but come on...life is not perfect, choices have consequences, and EVERYONE doesn't always live happily ever after. Yes, I understand it's a fantasy book, but everything just came out too perfect.

**SPOILER FOLLOWS**

Also, I do not like being able to predict the books I read. I like to be surprised so when I knew the "baby" would be okay and then when I knew Jacob would imprint on it and then they both happened, it was just disappointing. So finally when there was bound to be battle I was getting somewhat excited again and then...BAM!! Nothing. All that work to lead up to this enormous battle and it doesn't even happen. Wow.

I can't really connect with having issue with a "perfect" ending. You want doom and gloom? Don't read YA. I recommend Chuck Palahniuk. His books definitely don't end happily.

Wow I feel like writing you a "I completely agree you're so smart" reply just to counteract what celeste g said! How about this: even though I don't agree, you sound pretty smart (those plot developments that you guessed were pretty twisted!) :) My two cents: Happy endings are just as realistic as unhappy/sad ones—just look at the people around you (if you don’t know any happy people, I’m really sorry; I promise there are lots of them out there). There are lots of books and movies where things wrap up so nice and neat *out of nowhere* that I really appreciate a story that believably ends happily—and that’s what I think Breaking Dawn does. I say believably because I do think the consequences of everyone's choices were well within reason. Bella has always been self-sacrificing (sometimes in good ways and sometimes in bad), and so of course she would be willing to die for the baby, and then for all her loved ones against the Volturi (she knew they would try to kill her first)....I’m trying to think of more examples but I guess I just don't see which consequences weren't believably played out. Anyway, Bella et al’s happiness is hard fought, so I do not begrudge it.

Hey girl, keep writing your reviews, everyone is going to have their own opions. I always try to keep in mind what kind of book I'm reading. I knew this book was a teen love story, written for young girls, so I was expecting a certain amount of cheesiness and of course a happy ending. By the way, Bella has bugged me the entire series, so I was happy to see her more mature in the 4th book :o) Keep reading and writing reviews, it gives us something to talk about.

I loved how there was a happy ending because that is what i wanted the whole time. Would you have been happy if Bella or Edward died? I would of been depressed, people described like this need a happy ending. I would of been so upset if the story ended with jacob and Renesmee escaping and all the rest of the Cullen family dieing. Is that what you wanted to happen ? am not saying it is bad what you said just to clear that up.

I thought that the book and the series were really good, but I agree with how stephenie meyer worked you up the whole book for a huge fight at the end, and then nothing happened... It's not like I wanted Edward or Bella to die, but I wanted to see some action in the book, and I didn't really think there was much of it. Also, I think that there should have been an Epilogue or something at the end of the book telling you what things were like 10 years later or something like that. Idk, it would have been cool...

You must not like chick flicks. Formula movies all. But you know what? I love them. I can almost ALWAYS predict the end of a book or movie. As a writer myself, I find it a difficult search for books that aren't predictable. But guess what. I READ THEM ANYWAY. In fact, I RE-read books. I find that books that end happily to be a refreshing change from real life. They're supposed to be cheesy and lame, but it's an escape, not a life-lessons book. You want one of those, read Jodi Picoult books or The Kite Runner. There's enough death in those that I'm sure you'll be immensely satisfied with the real-lifeness of it. A word of advice: never publicly insult these books. You might not survive the onslaught of preteen girls attacking you, trying to beat out an apology.

I agree with you 100%. It's not like i wanted everyone to die or something.... but in my opinion a battle would have been more realistic. So if people are going to bash me for stating my opinion: go ahead. Just remember I'm still a fan of the first three.

I completely agree with you! I liked the first 3 books, but the last one was awful! It was predictable, it was sappy, it was all sunshine and friggin' butterflies. I was very disappointed.

I agree 100% with you. I saw the Jacob imprinting thing and I fully groaned when I read it and wanted to throw the book across the floor. And can we talk about that name? RENESMEE??? REALLY??? That's the gayest name I've ever heard, and that's even after reading lots of really really bad fan fiction. This books makes Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince look like Shakespeare...

I agree.. i wanted ACTION!!! Reading that whole tome was worth nothing.. all those parts where they train, gather vampires etc..!!! Pointless .. All those vampires she described ..i was anticipating MUCH more. They could still have had a happy ending (without giving it away in the contents page too) But Bella just has it too easy. No thirst, no jacob guilt, no more clumsiness, awesome cars. get REAL! the prev books were definitely better. Again, bella wanting blood-- OBVIOUS!! Renesmee. 24 chromosomes!!!!Completely illogical and scientifically deranged. Renesmee's name is pretty repulsive too. verdict: okay but could have done MUCH better.

So you can dish it out but can't take it. If your going to put out negative comments expect some in return. Go read depressing books if thats what your into. I personally love the ending and the beginning and the middle. Stephenie Meyer is a genius and they are not written in a YA Fiction way just because that is were it was classified. It is a YA book because the characters are in highschool. As Stephenie Meyer said "There are no childrens books or adult books, just good books and bad books-and everyone should read the good ones." Bellas choices did have consequences and because it ended up being okay-your not happy? I am sure it's easy to say that the book was predictable after you read it-did you really see Renesme coming? Maybe this series didn't have to have a horrible depressing ending to be great-deal with it.

I agree with you on almost everything. I'm 24 so I really don't feel bad about reading a YA book considering I wouldn't want one of my own kids reading a book filled with Sexual tension LOL. I don't get why people keep telling everyone to get over it. Just b/c I didn't like the way the book turned out doesn't mean I don't like the series. I do think maybe it should have been two books. Did you feel like the cullen's using nicknames like Jazz an em came out of left field totally? I mean they were all very formal until the middle of the book then I was like what on earth is going on? I've talked to a lot of people and ost ofthem havetold me they were disaapointed in this book.

I've talked to a lot of people and most of them have told me they were disaapointed in this book. Just a side note to everyone ripping this girl apart; No one is saying they wanted Bella or Edward to die BUT come on do you really think the Volturi would have backed down if you follow the thread of the other books? Also (speaking for myself here) I'm glad in the end Bella and Edward are happy but I still think the book wasn't as good and seemed rushed.

I kinda have to agree. I wish there was more action, too. Also, me and my friend agree that bella had to SHUT UP when she found out the Volturi were coming. The only words that came out of her mouth were, "We've been sentenced to die," or, "We're gonna die," let's not forget this one, "Death is coming." WE GET IT BELLA!!!!
