  • Paanchali (Draupadi): Brave, believes in power to the women, determined, a little bit self-centered, female protagonist.
  • Karna: humble, generous, trustworthy, the tragic hero. Despite having all the qualities of being of noble blood, his kinship remains a mystery till the very end. Described by Draupadi as extremely handsome - even more than Arjun. She couldn't get over his looks from the day she had laid her eyes on him and he had reciprocated the feelings. He sacrifices himself for the greater good. A man of his words and honor, unflinching and inspiring till the very end.
  • Krishna: Without him, the Pandavas would be nowhere. The king of Dwarka, the Yadu clan. Panchaali's best friend and confidante.
  • Yudhisthir: He is the eldest of five brothers, righteous, rightful heir to Hastinapur
  • Duryodhan: Evil, plots against his cousins, Son of Dhritarashtra
  • Bheeshma: Brave soldier, took a valiant oath of celibacy, vowed to protect the throne of Hastinapur - The grandfather to the Kauravas and Pandavas.
  • Drona: An expert at the skill of weapons. The teacher to both - the Pandavas and the Kauravas. An enemy to the father of Panchaali.
  • Bheema: Draupadi's third husband, the third Pandava known for his unparalleled strength but also for his utmost affection for his wife Draupadi.
  • Kunti: Draupadi's mother in-law. The wife of Pandu. The mother of the Pandavas.
  • Dhritarashtra: Father to Duryodhan, uncle to the Pandavas, brother to Pandu although he doesn't give his brother's sons what is rightfully theirs and encourages the evil intentions of his son.
  • Nakul: The fourth Pandava and Draupadi's fourth husband. Known for his pride of his knowledge and he could talk to animals.
  • Abhimanyu: Son of Arjun and Subhadra (his second wife after Panchaali). Husband to Uttara. He was the favourite among all the other children and dies the death of a hero. He was known to be as good a fighter as his father Arjun.
  • Arjun: Panchaali's second husband. She had initially gotten married to Arjun before Kunti asked them to share her as their wife. Known to be the hero of the Mahabharata, he is an excellent fighter. Gentle at the same time ferocious. He is one who is regarded as the protector. Draupadi often speaks of his good looks that even the angels couldn't resist seducing him.
  • Sahadeva: The fifth Pandava and Draupadi's fifth husband, known for his skill in horse riding. He was known to be humorous and gentle.
  • Sikhandi: Re-incarnation of Amba as a male - Shikandi who wanted her revenge for being disgraced in another lifetime by Bheeshma.
  • Gandhari: Mother to Duryodhan, wife to the blind king - Dhritarashtra. She was known to be a woman of immense power, conviction and intelligence. Her devotion to her husband shows by the mere fact that she chose to wear a blind fold on her eyes because her husband was blind.
  • Dhrishtadhyuman: Brother to Draupadi, prince of Panchaal who believed that his destiny was to avenge his father's humiliation at the hands of Drona.
  • Subhadra: Arjun's second wife to whom he showed immense affection and special favor. Draupadi was often jealous of her for these reasons.
  • Vyasa: The scripter and great-grand-father to everyone.
  • Balaram: Krishna's elder brother
  • Shakuni: Gandhari's manipulative brother who corrupted Dhritarashtra's and Duryodhan's mind to cause injustice to the Pandavas.
  • Aswatthama: Son of Drona, a faithful friend to Duryodhan who in the end, breaks the code of war to kill Dhrishtadhyuman and Draupadi's five sons.
  • Hidimba: The Rakshasa princess - Bheema's wife who preferred to stay back with her people and rule over them. She was rather cold and distant but respectful and courteous.
  • Ghatotkacha: The son of Hidimba and Bheema. He was known to be an excellent warrior and had Rakshasa abilities due to his birth.
