• My hair-raising experience is a personal experience. I wrote this piece as a writing assignment for a writing group I belong to at my local library. When the subject was suggested, the memory of my hair-raising fall filled my mind's eye and knew that I just had to write it down for posterity's sake. It is a day that I will never forget and thought others would enjoy sharing this experience with me. They can feel my pain, embarrassment, confusion and even laugh a little at my predicament. My group really enjoyed this story, so I thought others would as well. I did change my name in the story, but the story is mine.
