Ms Taylor-Jones presents a contemporary romance story wrapped within a tale of mystery & suspense. This beautifully crafted story will definitely leave its readers wanting to be loved just as Vic was by Baptiste.

The idea of loving again was so terrifying to Victoria who prefers to be called "Vic" that she decides to close her heart and never let love in. Which for a romance novel is quite the reverse, but it gave the book a sweet difference. Sometimes one person can have enough love to sustain the buddings beginnings and that's exactly what A.J. Baptiste has."When A Man Loves A Woman" opens your heart to understanding true love and endurance.

This was a wonderful story and all the characters quickly became alive in my life. I closed this book four days ago and I already miss them all.

I loved this one, it had some very cute and funny moments. I was glad that Vic was able to get past her anger from her past to see how much A.J. loved her. Since A.J. was very determined that she was going to be his. I couldn't put it down and I am looking forward to other books from this author.

When a man loves a woman is a great read. I loved it, loved it, loved it. I laughed and cried and laughed some more. Couldn't put it down... Wonderful love/suspence story.

He Stops at Nothing to Win Her Heart, Her Trust & Her Love

“When a Man Loves a Woman” is another amazing tale spun by Mrs. LaConnie Taylor-Jones. I had difficulty putting this novel down, but due to family interruptions it was unavoidable. But I finally finished and it is a enjoyable ride. Mrs. Taylor-Jones once again touches on some serious social issues plaguing our society. She gives us another glimpse at domestic violence, she also touches on drug abuse and the effects it has on a mother and her children, the selling of drugs and the fall-out that can take place when a drug deals goes wrong, not to mention the issues Vic has to deal with as a result of her cheating ex-husband (don't want to spoil the story for anyone). She addresses each of these issue in a mature and responsible manner without being overly preachy and again pulls together another entertaining read. This is a story about Victoria Bennett, who is a dedicated registered nurse, who has given her all to her career, her community, and her family/friends in an effort to avoid matters of the heart, after being emotionally scarred by the her ex-husband's betrayal. Vic or Honey as A.J. likes to call her has no desire to put her heart on the line AGAIN and she refuses to become involved with A.J. Baptiste, even though they have a very HEATED mutual attraction to one another. Alcee Jules Baptiste is a hardworking pediatrician, who also happens to be the devoted father of two adorable adopted 4 year old twin girls. A.J. is determined to make Vic see that they belong together and will "stop at nothing to when her heart, her trust and her love". The arrogance and stubbornness is definitely a Baptiste family trait, however it is one ANY woman would willingly overlook for a chance at being on the receiving end of the ULTIMATE package, this caring, giving, loving, protective and gorgeous man. Throughout this novel he pulls out ALL the stops in an attempt to sweep Honey off her feet and help her to open up and let go of her past. A.J. totally made a believer out of me when showed Honey that he could and would love unconditionally and would not physically make love to her until she willingly admits she loves him. But will Vic ever be able to let go of this unhealthy grudge against her ex-husband and forgive him, so she can FINALLY move on with her life and experience the happiness she deserves with A.J.?!! Mrs. Taylor-Jones throws in some intriguing twists and turns and a few intense passion-filled encounters that will DEFINITELY keep you turning the pages. Once again I found myself caught up in the loving familial bond, the intense drama, and the humorous moments with the Baptiste family and their circle of friends. Definitely looking forward to reading what Mrs. Taylor-Jones has in store for Ray Baptiste. Another recommended read from this author, with an actual star rating of 4.5!
