Very very fun book to read. The story is from the point of view of a fifteen year old kid and it really feels like a fifteen year old is narrating the story. This book is unlike any i have read. It is just so refreshing and creative. I devoured the book quickly and i was left wanting for more....

Although I am an adult (and read other Patterson novels), I do like to read some of the literature that is out there for young adults. Sometimes I find a fun and enjoyable read and when i first started reading Daniel X, I thought I had found one, but not so.
The beginning of this book is...

I really liked this book. It was sad at the beginning because the main character went back to the day when his parents were murdered by an evil alien name The Prayer. Daniel, the main character, was able to escape by turning himself into a tick. That is why he becomes an alien hunter, to destroy The Prayer. Another reason I liked this book is because Daniel has great strength, and he can create things with his mind. He makes his parents and friends "real" and can create them at any time. The third thing I like about this book is the end. -SPOILER ALERT- Daniel has been hunting an alien named Ergent Seth, who is the sixth most dangerous alien in the universe. They finally fight at the end, and Daniel turns into a tick, creeps into Ergent Seth's head, and changes into an elephant, causing Seth's head to explode!

I really enjoyed this book, it was easy to read (quickly too I might add). I followed the book smoothly and easily without much of a problem... if I remember correctly the first time I read it, I was done the same day too.

The Dangerous Days of Daniel X, by James Patterson is a 238 page long science-fiction novel. It deals with a super human boy named Daniel Hopper. When he was merely 3 years old, he was constructing master pieces out of play- doh. He also had super powers such as the ability to transform or create anything as well as eidetic memory. His parents were brutally murdered one night by an alien known as the Prayer who was after a list. This list was of the alien outlaws. He returned to the site of his burned house at the age of 13 to recover the list. Since then he has been fighting and destroying each of the aliens on the list, in hopes of reaching number one. He leaves to Malibu in search of number 6, a shape-shifter named Ergent Seth. As he temporarily re-creates his family and friends, he starts to attend school in Malibu and meets a girl, Phoebe Cook. Weeks after messages and signs to go away by Seth, Phoebe Cook disappears. Later she appears at school and transforms into Ergent Seth. Seth captures Daniel and takes him to Daniel's home planet of Alpar Nok, a place he's never been. Taken over by others, he manages to find a few surviving locals such as his grandmother. In a deciding battle Daniel defeats Ergent Seth and saves Earth. I feel this was honestly one of the least interesting books I've read. A typical book about a superhero who saves the world isn't what I expected from an author such as James Patterson. "This piece of garbage who had nearly destroyed my home planet had had a large head for sure. But even his couldn't contain a full-grown elephant." This type of writing sums up my opinion as it is very basic and easy to comprehend. The novel is not one I would recommend to anyone who's looking for a good read. Perhaps a terrible choice to read.

this was a good book. It had the same style as maximum ride, and I'm not sure if that's a good thing. The ending was pretty awesome and it was predictable in some parts, but not TOO predictable, if you know what I mean. I enjoyed it very much.

The beginning of this book is worth reading and more than halfway through it is very entertaining. I do not want to give a spoiler here in case you decide to read it anyhow, so let's just say when Daniel gets "home" the story takes a drastic turn from the direction and tone set by the beginning, I thought it was heading. Maybe it was me, but this book just falls short. How the story ends I would have left for another time, another book.
Well, that is it for now......

Poor Daniel... All alone... Heyy Daniel X!!! If you're real (which I believe) I am totally willing to help you capture aliens in the MAINE area. Just sayin'...

When my cousin told me about the new James Patterson series I was pumped. Since I have read James Patterson books before I was expecting for this book to be very good. I was right. From the first page to where I am now I have loved every part of it. I cant wait to finish the book and read the others in the series.
