The writing style was very easy to read. The story kept me turning the pages. It's a murder mystery set in Victorian England. Her father was killed in a duel in France. Trying to find out what happened to him she becomes embroiled in a conspiracy and ends up becoming a spy for one side. Very well done.

If you love English mysteries, especially with intrepid heroines such as Maisie Dobbs or Mrs. Jeffries, then get this book!
