This book just seemed like a filler and focused on Fox's and Layla's relationship. I can't wait to read the next one! I'm so ready for the battle.”

The battle against the evil heats up in the second book, and the way Roberts ups the suspense, and uses well-timed terrifying attacks by the demon against various members of our little band of heroes and heroines is very clever and creative.
There's good character development in all of the six protagonists in this book, and while you can probably guess a lot of what happens if you read much Nora Roberts, that doesn't make this any less a good, scary paranormal romance read.
I'm looking forward to book three and what I'm sure will be a battle royal in "The Pagan Stone." ”
“LibraryCin said: This is the second book in the Sign of Seven trilogy. Three young men have released an evil thing that comes back to terrorize their small town every seven years. Three women came to town in the first book and circumstances brought them together to fight off this thing. The first book focused on one of the men, Cal, and this one focused on Fox, and his budding relationship with Layla. Fox and Layla have special insights that will help them fight this evil thing when it comes time to do so. And of course, they fall in love in the process of planning for the big showdown.
I found this book a little slow in the middle, and I think because it’s the middle book in the trilogy, I knew that things wouldn’t be wrapped up at the end, so I just didn’t find it as interesting as it could be. But, it was still good enough to continue on and finish the trilogy.”
“really good”
