I have heard rave after rave of this book, so I bought it, and finally I read it, and it certainly did deserve every single rave it received. This is a wonderful, well-written, captivating book with fabulous characters and a great story--totally enjoyable and captivating and all the rest. It opens with the English hero, his wounded companion and the French heroine all trapped together in a French prison under the cruel control of the villain.
