I loved this book. They tried to make a TV series out of it, I wish they had made a movie. I thought it was fun and enjoyed the sort of historical fiction about NYC worked in. Sure some of it was hokey and a little 'Forrest Gump-ish'.

    Great comments about this book, folks. I almost gave up on this book as it does start a little slowly but am really glad I hung with it. Truly a fascinating read.
