I found this book to be highly sensual, but also that the story-line was a good one to follow along with, and maintain my intrigue.

The character development of both Ariella and Emilian were strong, but almost at times, both seemed a bit too overbearing. However, they still seemed real, but just a bit too stubborn, zealous and in the case of Emilian too down on himself at a lot of times.

It was a tangled and twisted web of uncertainty and the desperate need for self-discovery, love, and friendship. I guess it can be easily understood by so many who cannot fully find their place with a bi-racial heritage. So I can understand the struggles to find a place to belong, but perhaps it was a bit overdone???”
