“The war between two immortal races has been going on forever. What Amiti' s are slaves locked up by the Vampire Elite. Those that are free long to end the reign of the vampires. When a new Queen arises it is the hope of the Amitit that Arianna will bring the end of the vampires. She will have to learn how to use her powers and decide what she wants to do. When you love some of the Elite it just makes the choices that much harder.
I wasn't sure what to expect out of this book when I started it. You are thrust right into the world of vampires and Amiti' s. This isn't your ordinary vampire book. While it does have romance somewhat it really has so much more. The author does a wonderful job setting up the story you dive right into it. You see what both sides of this war face and their struggles. Don't think this is some kind of fluff book because it's not. It has plenty of action from chases, fights, loving, jumping out of helicopters and tons more. You never really know what is going to happen from one page to another and it keeps you on your toes. There is a lot of characters in this book and it seems you learn more about them the more you read. You see them grow and grow. There is also several other paranormal beings in this book some I wasn't expecting. I won't say a lot about this book because I don't want to spoil it. I will say if your looking for a different book about vampires that is outside the box of the latest ones out try this one. It has a darker, edgier feel to it one you can really sink your teeth into.
VAMPIRE ELITE (Prophecy) is the first storyline in the Vampire Elite series co-authored by the writing team of Irina Argo. The series premise is based on Egyptian legends, gods and their descendants and is packed with world building, character development and, enough betrayal and heartbreak for a lifetime let alone centuries of pain and sorrow.
The legend states that vampires were created when a goddess became enraged and the blood she trailed created a new species dependent on blood to survive. When the vampires all but annihilated the human population another species of immortals was formed –the Amiti-as a source of blood for the vampires. But over time the Amiti became like cattle (bloodstock) to the vampires and the two species remained distinct and separate and, have been at war with each other for centuries. PROPHECY: VAMPIRE ELITE is a contemporary paranormal storyline of racism, segregation, abuse and sacrifice between the species. There are flashbacks as well as several parallel storylines that will all coalesce in the final scenes of book one.
There is plenty of background information on which the storyline premise has been built and the bigger problem between the species is the blood bonding between vampire and Amiti- that in many cases leads to a physical and emotional relationship of love and hate-and under these circumstances it is akin to a mortal sin and blasphemy against their own kind. In this, we have several scenarios that push the storyline forward when the King of the Vampires falls in love with the Queen of the Amiti. What ensues is the utmost betrayal between lovers and a declaration of war between the species.
VAMPIRE ELITE is a well written, explicitly detailed and fascinating dark story of two species who have become master and slave. The storyline is fraught with betrayal and heartbreaking sorrow as lovers becomes enemies-at some point all blood bonded lovers will know the loss of a mate; torture; destruction of a relationship and the tearing of a soul shared through the blood bond between the species. There was not one relationship or couple unaffected by the end of book one.
Irina Argo has taken a vampire tale and placed a spin all their own. This is a dark tale of racism and specieism– that excludes rights to one group (Amiti) over another (vampires): whereby one becomes the cattle to be used and abused; where membership in one species definitely has its’ privileges; and death is a blessing for many. At times the altruistic nature of the relationships is painful and hard. PROPHECY: Vampire Elite is NOT your sparkly vampire series.

“Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Michelle L. Olson:
Prophecy, the debut novel of the VAMPIRE ELITE series, was a good read; an interesting mix of vampire lore and Egyptian Mythology. While a lot of the generalities were what we've come to know and love in Paranormal Romance, it had several refreshing spins, the characters were great, and the story was captivating.
The basis of the tale centers around 2 races created by the Gods - the Sehkmet (vampires), and Amiti (gifted humans originally created to be soul mates and food source for the vampires). Unfortunately there was some scorn involved with the creation of the Amiti. This created loopholes in the cohesion of the 2 races, allowing the Amiti power over the vampires which ultimately ended up making the vampires paranoid and forcing the Amiti into slavery over the centuries.
Our main characters are Simone (the half-blood daughter of the vampire king Tor and the former Amiti Queen Istara), Istara's other daughter Arianna (the new and future Queen of the Amiti,) and their twisted & overlapping tales full of danger, drama, betrayal, romance & surprise. Along with these two, there are countless other supporting cast, including some sexy winged demons that I found fascinating. :) I highly suggest reading through the Glossary in the book before diving in, because there are many terms and associations that can become confusing throughout the book without a little help.
Constructive criticism note: While the book was very good, I personally felt like it might have been better to split it into a debut novel and a sequel. There was just a lot happening in the 530+ pages, and while it definitely keeps your interest as a reader, it did get a bit confusing at times as things started to compound and characters started to overlap.
My other note, more for readers than the authors... the ending is a major cliff hanger so be prepared. After the investment in the length of the novel and the tale itself, the ending was not the most reader friendly. It did make want the next book immediately though!! ;-)
If you're a vampire fan, enjoy tales with a mythological undertone, and are looking for a sexy fantasy story with a bit of a dark edge, then Prophecy is a good bet for you. It's an amazing bargain as well!
“I was on chapter five before I knew it. This book has lots of information about the Vampire and Amiti groups. The story moves through the information so well that the reader does not realize that you are learning something.
This book is two books in one and very long, but worth the read. I can not say enough good things about this book.
I felt for the characters, the world that the authors built was a place I could see inside my mind with all the vivid details that brung the world alive for me, and the story line moved silently that I got wrapped in it so well I was done with the 100 chapter book before I knew it.
I enjoyed the link to the website after the read, that has great detail of the descriptions of characters, races, and the rest of the immortal world that the authors have built for the book.
It was a read that was very hard to put down. Five star book.

I'm not a big fan of vampire stories, but I had my eye on this book for quite some time before deciding to splurge. The premise fascinated me
Irina has brought really fresh n fantastic book as her novel.
It is definitely worth the price.
This book is my best vampire book on my shelf. Anyone who has ever loved the vampire needs to get this book!
It captures the reader from the beginning and it gets very intense. It draws you in like you are in the story.
It was interesting and captivating. i like the scene when Amiti falls in love with the King of the Sekhmet. and then the exciting battle begins. that all were very interesting. totally page turner book.
“I really enjoyed reading this book.
I am a fan of the paranormal genre with vampires as a theme,
and I found that the authors’ (aka Irina Argo) version of vampires and the
Amiti is extremely refreshing and different from the version I see depicted in other novels.
The first thing I noticed about Irina Argo's "Vampire Elite" was that there were some great references to an old
Egyptian Legend within it.
Anything that has such references will get my attention right away. All things are very impressive.
“This book is certainly worth the money.
All the characters have their own emotions and style that makes them interact well with each other.
An innovative take on the vampire mythos, fusing erotic romance with dark fantasy.
The writing also focuses on these splendid side characters.
the angelic Amiti were created by IRINA, the goddess of love and beauty, to "unlock the love hidden within the vampires."
Which is really nice, because it is such a great cast.
It's such a pleasure to see someone who writes well and has a feel for stories. Irina has brought a fantastic book.
“"Vampire Elite" is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. It's a different version of vampire and one that I absolutely adored! I can't wait for the second book to come out so I can find out what happens with Arianna and Tor, see if Anock is reunited with his female and enjoy more of the spoiled Simone. I absolutely loved this book. It's one I'll re-read often.”Danael J McGuire wrote this review Tuesday, June 11, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“Honestly friends I have read many stories in this genre and I would have to say that this story had no major original concepts, only the details differed from hundreds of similar stories.
I absolutely loved this book.It keeps you wondering what happens next! I didn't like how it would just all of the sudden jump to the next day. It had a very good ending too.
This story is a must read. It captures the reader from the beginning and it gets very intense. It draws you in like you are in the story.
It was interesting and captivating. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good emotions, fun and romantic vampire novel I promise you never regret.
Seriously, the Great book by "Irina". She has described the story beautifully.
Could not put it down and finished it within a day. Loved the whole story line and twists and turns. Totally Love it”
“Rooted in Egyptian mythology, Irina Argo have created a perfect equilibrium for the vicious vampire kind; the Amiti. Originally created to be partners for the vampire’s needs and cravings, they are now held captive for their blood. Between them all is the devastating power of the gods that both sides want.
Simone and Arianna were both strong, realistic and likeable heroines, and it's an emotional ride to follow them as they face off against their kinds that are bent on using them to their own needs. The world building was exquisite, and I found myself completely immersed in this hidden world within our own.
From beginning to end, 'Vampire Elite' is an elegantly woven tale with sexy and complex characters. This is a fresh and provocative take on vampires, filled with treachery and intrigue that will not disappoint fans of the genre.”
