“I like this book, although at times you do have search hard for any truth, it was enjoyable...
The story is fragmented and displays someone scattered, and her struggle to put all her scattered peices together, and It leaves you feeling like there was a piece of the puzzle still left that you missed, but I think thats as it was intended to be.
A Fragment”
“I saw the Ellen Page movie, am eager to read the book.”

I watched the movie before I read the book, which possibly helped me to better understand her. She's a lonely girl who manipulates the truth. She's riding on a bus, wrapped in a sheet, telling her story through flashbacks. But these flashbacks are like a puzzle; you have to figure out what order they should be in, as well as what piece is true and what piece isn't.”

From the blurb and description I thought that it would have a very promising and interesting story plot, but when I was reading it, I was dreading for the story to end. I had first picked up this book when I heard that Ellen Page was doing a movie on it, in which she plays the lead role, so I thought that it must be interesting since I loved her in "Juno." Though I never watched the movie, I hope that it gives a clearer and more understanding view than what the book provides the readers.
There were a few things I didn't like: time lapse, Sonny's origins, and the style of the writing. The author wrote this book, if I'm correct, back and forth between flashbacks that I got really confused in what's happening. I would question whether the setting is of Tracey on the bus telling her story or whether it was the present event. Sonny's origins was really confusing too, I kept wondering where he came from because Tracey narrates to the readers that her dad found him when he shot a dog that was above him. It was just so weird overall, and the author's writing style didn't keep me interested at all, it became boring page after page, and the ending wasn't that memorable and left a cliffhanger whether or not Tracey found Sonny.
Even though I really didn't like this book as much as I thought I would, I would applaud Tracey's character and her boldness of going out into the wild and meeting all different kinds of danger just so she can find out where her brother went. After reading this whole book, there is still one question on my mind, "Why would someone ever think that they're a dog?" I think that it's just degrading themselves.”
