A Nation of Sheep

by Andrew P. Napolitano

In A NATION OF SHEEP, Judge Andrew P. Napolitano frankly discusses how the federal government has circumvented the Constitution and is systematically dismantling the rights and freedoms that are the foundation of American democracy.  He challenges Americans to recognize that they are being led down a very dangerous path and that the cost of following without challenge is the loss of the... I actually would have given this book 2 1/2 stars. I like Judge Napolitano and he is an expert constitutionalist BUT, this book was way too negative for me. I felt that he was pointing the finger at every American and accusing us for all of the bad things the corrupt politicians have done. The first part of the book had some very interesting things in it, the second part was one big, long rant. And, while pointing out corrupt government doings, he quoted the New York Times far too often. That seems to be a great bit oxymoron to me. Pot and Kettle.

Another fantastic glimpse into the tyranny all around us that most of us fail to recognize or ignore with fingers in our ears. An easy and worthwhile read for people on all sides of the issues who wish to be informed.

Before you go dismissing "The Judge" as another right-wing-apologist Fox News contributor, read through the first chapter. He paints an detailed and accurate (IMHO) picture of how the current administration has continually dismantled the US Constitution and savaged our civil rights. Blasts both sides rather even-handedly throughout.

I am finding this book an eye opener. I hope word gets around about the details that every American should be aware of. I have been often times amazed and not amused by bills that are passed in Congress. When was the last time your congressman/woman sent you a detailed list of what bills are coming up for votes? They seem to forget we taxpayers are paying their salaries.
