If you love red hot romances, you'll enjoy this one. We really get thrown into the world of Regency England and a two-week tempting bid from one dashing bid. In the first book in this six-book series, I really felt the heartbreak Arabella and her two sisters, Roslyn and Lilian, experienced, when scandal was tantamount in 18th century England. But we can really feel the anger they felt for their mother who abandoned them, and the ridicule their step-uncle surmounted on them. Nonetheless, we're introduced to Marcus Pierce, their new guardian, who has a mission of his own to woo Arabella Loring. We could see the heat between Belle and Marcus, the temptation to experience love and sex, the matching of wits between them, when they knew, they've met their match and belong together. In the end, we do get pleasure and sensuality between Arabella and Marcus. Ladies, fan yourself!

Decent and truly like the spats between the two main characters but really had no plot.

"Sven whatcha up to? Oh. Look Sven, I don't mean to hurt your feelings and all but would it be possible to have something other than Swedish meatballs for a while? No I don't care that this time you are scaling them to actual size this time around. I don't think I can have another meatball for a long time. Unless you know, it's an Alpha ball! Yeah. I can't believe I just said that either. Fine just make two balls - one for Lola and the other for Mi. I'll head out for dinner. Speaking of Lola and Mi, do you know where they went? Huh. That's strange. I could have sworn they said "Guitar Hero Deathmatch, Noon." Cos you know, I have a note from them and all saying exactly that. Oh well, maybe something came up. Hey where's Juan at? Huh. So it's just you and me here? Cool, cool. So...do you want to hear about this new book I just read? Yeah sure you can continue rolling your balls.

The Story started out great for me, I enjoyed the characters but nearing the last 3rd of the book there was just too many sex scenes for me. 1 is fine, 2 I can handle but any more then that and I just get bored. There was at least 5 in just the last 3rd of the book... so had they cut those back I would have given it one more star..

This was easily the best book of the series. The mystery element was well developed and the characters were enjoyable. A good nights read.

Book 1 of 3. Regency romance. Three sisters become wards of Marcus Piece, and he intends to marry off each of them. Arabella is the oldest sister and like her sisters, not interested in marriage. They enjoy being financially independent by running a finishing school and their own lives. An entertaining read as she causes havoc with sworn batchelor Marcus' heart.
