A darker one that its predecessors, but another page-turner as well. Whereas in Season we see Colin play the jealous suitor, we will see what Emily does when she meets her match in Waltz. Again, I am biased, but a fantastic read!

THis is a book I read in one sitting, my favorite of Tasha Alexander's so far. THis continues the story of Lady Ashton that began in And Only To Deceive, and continued in A Poisoned Season. This was my favorite, but may be because I know all of the characters well from the other two books.

Another delicious outing for Lady Ashton. The seething underbelly of Victorian Society is ripped open and exposed for the underhanded politic and sexual escapades of the Upper class.

Not as good as the previous two books in the series, but still rather enjoyable.

I really enjoyed this 3rd Lady Emily Ashton historical mystery. You really got a feel for the history, the politics, and the culture of the times. Ms. Alexander brought Victorian England and Vienna to life with the rich detail and descriptive writing. The characters are complex and interesting. The plot is intriguing and the mystery well-crafted; it kept my attention to the very end. And the ending was so, so sweet. Colin and Emily are soul mates and deserved their HEA.
