“Whenever I get a free book off of Amazon I generally assume it's not going to be anything spectacular. And yes, usually I am right. However, every once and a while I get a wonderful surprise. It's what makes obtaining free books so much fun and well worth sifting through the duds-- to get to a totally and wonderfully worthwhile read.
Henry, the first book in The Beck Brothers Series, completely captivated me from the beginning. Is it me, or does there need to be more books with single mother heroines?!?!
As the oldest of four boys, Henry seems to be the head, so to speak, in everything. He is fiercely loyal, protective, and caring towards his brothers and his family, oftentimes acting as a third parent. Also, as the CEO of a successful company, he is used to taking the lead and being in charge.
What he has difficulty with, is figuring out where his beautiful, smart, and hard working personal assistant fits into his life. With each passing day it becomes harder for him to deny his feelings for Claire. That is, until he meets her son. They bond instantly and he realizes that both of them are exactly what he wants, and is determined to have, in his life. It's adorable, sweet....and incredibly sexy! Henry and Claire are a perfect match. Reading their journey had me laughing one moment, sad the next, hopeful throughout, and eventually ecstatic and content.
This book is self-published by Andria Large. It's a wonderful first novel that will leave you, the reader, unhesitant to buy the second story in the series, Sebastian. I read the entire book last night in bed, unable to put it down. It is just as good as this one, if not better. I'll post my thoughts on that one soon!!”
