Jack and Annie are searching for a secret of happiness and they go to the ocean. They board a ship, and Jack gets seasick. They both lean over the edge and an octopus grabs them. The octopus talks and lets go. Jack and Annie find the secret and both go back home. Squids

  • Jack: A boy who is a little shy. Jack and his sister Annie are transported by a magic tree house through time and space to places real and mythical. Jack is the "brainiac" of the two, he does all the research.
  • Annie: Jack's sister that takes risks and can talk to animals. Jack's sister, she loves animals, relies on her instincts, and is always willing to take a chance.
  • Merlin: A magician who lives in Camelot.
  • Morgan le Fay: A magical librarian from the enchanted time of Camelot. She sends Jack and Annie on special missions in the Magic Tree House.
  • Kathleen: She is a selkie—a seal that can also change into a person. She is Teddy's friend and also an apprentice to Merlin; she helps Jack and Annie on their missions.
  • Teddy: A young sorcerer-in-training and apprentice to Merlin and Morgan le Fay; he helps Jack and Annie on their missions.
