Cowritten by Babe Heffron and "Wild Bill" Guarnere, the two Philly boys and great friends, they tell their specific experiences and memories. It gives a much deeper and more personal look at the events and consequences of those events that Easy Company was a part of. The richness of detail enhances the story, and makes you fall in love with the boys all over again.
(Keep in mind that Wild Bill is one of my favorite characters ever, and seems like one of the most awesome human beings to ever live. If I ever have the honor meeting him, seeing him from across a room even - or even! shaking his hand ... I might die of joy. So I'm a liiiiittle biased.)”
“Great book. Very detailed account of WWII from two easy company soldiers.”

Not so much a rehash of the familiar stories as it is how they felt with each experience. Told from their perspectives. I didn't find myself bored with this book at all, as I have been in areas of the other books that do not add anything additional to the familiar stories of these amazing soldiers. ”

It made WWII more real to me, and gave me a new respect for the men who served and died fighting for other people's freedom.”
