“Since I hadn't read in ages, this was fun and light and kept me going. Now I'm on a roll!”

All of the books in this series follow a similar formula. Two women (sometimes actual sisters sometimes just good friends) travel to a foreign country and have a God authored life changing experience. Since each book has different main characters they do not need to be read in particular order. Usually a main character from a previous book makes a cameo appearance, but if you don't recognize that character it doesn't affect the plot of the book.

“I love these books and the women in them. The love that they have for each other their families and for Adventure is completely amazing.I always wait for the new book in this series, with great anticipation. This one I really liked because, the girls in this book have made a promise to each other to go to Paris together, when They were in grade school. As adults the oppurtunity comes up for them to do just that go to Paris! One of them has already been to Paris and had a love affair that she has never discussed with her friend, and now she will have to face the pain of the past with the help of a loving friend, and no doubt God plays a Large part in all of this.I would recommend this book to everyone!”

By Robin Jones Gunn is another entry in the fabulous Sisterchicks series. I've really loved every book in this series, but this one really plucked at my heartstrings. Maybe it was that Lisa is a little sarcastic and cynical like me. Lisa and Amy promised each other in grade school that when they grew up, they would go to Paris together. When Amy's grandmother passes away, they take the time for the trip and find that the road to the City of Lights is filled with bumps. There are a couple of laugh out loud moments in the book, but the strongest parts are about God and His love. Both Lisa and Amy need to face their fears to fully enjoy not only their trip but their lives as well.”
