An easy read about relationships between mom's and daughters, the importance of building trust with our children so they can come to us always, white lies and true lies, protecting our children, guilt and love too. I really liked it and would recommend it. I loved looking forward to reading it each night.

The writing was a little too simple for me - I didn't feel attached to any of the characters - but still an interesting idea to ponder about what family members will do for each other.

A mother and her daughter are driving home one night when they accidently strike a man. The mother takes the blame, although the daughter was driving. The rest of the book is about the repercussion of this lie. The book was highly readable, although not especially beautifully written. The storyline was fairly predictable. I simply felt there was something untrue regarding the many decisions the characters - especially the mother - made. The dialogue seemed stilted, and the "twist" at the end was no surprise at all.
