“A mother and her daughter are driving home one night when they accidently strike a man. The mother takes the blame, although the daughter was driving. The rest of the book is about the repercussion of this lie. The book was highly readable, although not especially beautifully written. The storyline was fairly predictable. I simply felt there was something untrue regarding the many decisions the characters - especially the mother - made. The dialogue seemed stilted, and the "twist" at the end was no surprise at all.”
