meh, should have been made as a comic. this wasnt really a novel. was entertaining and twisted to be sure but i found it somewhat juvenile; like something a teen trying to shock us would write.

This is a darkly comic neo-noir. It is richly futuristic but set in the present day. It has macroherpetophiles. It involves the injection of saline into various extra-sensitive places. It is great.

This was a very fun read. There are disturbing things that I do not want to investigate further but I loved how McGill seems to be just as disturbed about it as I am. Reminded me of Spider and his assistants.

Great book to tell others some of the twisted excerpts from it, and have them look at you, mouth agape, and say "I wanna read this!" As W. Ellis says: America Broke Sex

This book is twisted and perverse...and absolutely perfect in every way.

    Crazy. Nuts. Brilliant. Original.
Reminded me of Tom Robbins, only sicker. So funny at times. Introduced me to weird sexual depravity I didn't really need to know about. The central argument seems to be that what's mainstream can't be called weird anymore, b/c its there for all of us to see. If we didn't want to see it, we wouldn't look, or it wouldn't exist...Despite all the gross parts, it was a fantastic book. Highly recommended!

A book that manages to both warmly embrace and hilariously mock the Noir/Detective conventions. I started laughing my ass of quite literally at the first sentence and didn't get much room for breath until I'd finished the bastard. Absolutely worth your time.
