I thought this was an interesting insiders view of history of the Middle East peace process and particularly the American involvement and leadership and success and failures. It was worth reading. I thought that the author's analysis of the three best Americans on this issue was particular odd and interesting collection: Henry Kissinger, Jimmy Carter, and James Baker.

I could never make it in the diplomatic corps of ANY country. Personally, I have a great difficulty in rewarding peoples peace and appeasement for bad behavior. That pretty much was the message coming from Aaron David Miller being a cog in the state department machine. Stay tuned, I will have a full book review in the near future.
