Marquez wraps a love story with the story of a man's life, told through vignettes of his relationships. The book is a particularly fast read and a great introduction to Marquez. If you like it, there's even more to enjoy in One Hundred Years of Solitude and Love in the Time of Cholera.”

Probably not his best book but the story is substantial and humble, and sometimes it has some funny moments centered on the rediscovery of an old man with Eros and Amor. "That's not for coming in, Señor, but for coming out..." Yes, Love/Lust, is crazy...”
