It seems like readers either hate The Conqueror or love it. It does, after all, contain a good bit of politically incorrect hero behavior for today's romance reader . But as I reread this one recently, I was prepared for his ruthlessness but surprised by his tenderness. Once again, rape, infidelity and kinky sex passed off as romance. This is not a romance, it's utter trash! As to the hero: he is literally a pig. Do I want to read about a hero who is like that??? DUH!! absolutely NOT (OK, it is 1069 but I'm sure, there were some nicer guys around in this time, see Guy). well really in what logical and humanly undrestandable concept could you even think that such a "man" is a hero? He is all about rape and slaughter. the heroine is a complete and utter MORON....
