Description

The primary purpose of this book is to enlighten and educate the reader about the so-called type 2 diabetes (including gestational diabetes), heart disease, stroke, other health problems associated with aging, and the role that excess body fat plays in the eventual development of these health problems. The scientific basis for what it takes to prevent or reverse these health problems is discussed in terms that the layperson can understand. In the case of diabetes, it is established that type 2 diabetes isn¡¦t a chronic diseaseƒ{it is the result of an imbalance in body fat that can be reversed altogether. Heading off cardiovascular disease is not about watching our total cholesterol, LDL and HDL cholesterol. Instead we should eliminate excess blood fat or excess weight, which we do not need. Referring to LDL cholesterol as ¡§bad¡¨ or HDL cholesterol as ¡§good¡¨ is a misnomer. What is ¡§bad¡¨ is the excess blood fat, or triglycerides, because the body should not store or accumulate fat into which there are dissolved unused nutrients.
