Liked It“A much more substantial book than Book 4, this episode gives something to stick your teeth into. A great read, and a question mark ending, which will be left unresolved due Adam's death. Wait a minute Coelfer's has written a book in his stead. Onto that book then... I hope it lives up to this book!” see full review » see other reviews » |

The title, as you may already know from the previous books of the series, refers to the Guide's definition of the planet Earth, a condensed description formed by the editors after receiving Ford's write up. To start with, Arthur crash lands into a rural planet and becomes the village sandwich maker, and the plot of the Vogons to destroy the Earth in all dimensions is found. Definite must-read.”

Yes, it's a five book trilogy). That's not to say you shouldn't read it (especially if you've gotten this far already) but it's a rather depressing book. To be fair, it does have one of my favorite scenes ever written by Adams (the Sandwich Maker), but other than that, it's a bleak book. Granted, Adams agrees with me, so I don't feel too bad about my opinion, but still. I would have liked a happy ending.”

"So, this is it. We're all going to die!"
