A much more substantial book than Book 4, this episode gives something to stick your teeth into. A great read, and a question mark ending, which will be left unresolved due Adam's death. Wait a minute Coelfer's has written a book in his stead. Onto that book then... I hope it lives up to this book!

This book seem a very random, even for Douglas Adams; and in the words of Douglas Adams himself, "it was a rather bleak book."

The fifth and conclusive novel of Adam's "Hitchhiker's Trilogy". The title, as you may already know from the previous books of the series, refers to the Guide's definition of the planet Earth, a condensed description formed by the editors after receiving Ford's write up. To start with, Arthur crash lands into a rural planet and becomes the village sandwich maker, and the plot of the Vogons to destroy the Earth in all dimensions is found. Definite must-read.

This was probably my least favorite of the Hitchhiker trilogy (of five books. Yes, it's a five book trilogy). That's not to say you shouldn't read it (especially if you've gotten this far already) but it's a rather depressing book. To be fair, it does have one of my favorite scenes ever written by Adams (the Sandwich Maker), but other than that, it's a bleak book. Granted, Adams agrees with me, so I don't feel too bad about my opinion, but still. I would have liked a happy ending.

Not the best of the "increasingly misnamed trilogy" from the Hitchhiker's series but still has its moments.

Ok, I didn't actually finish this either. I just couldn't get into the story, which is surprising because I loved the Hitchhiker's Guide.

While necessary to provide closure for the "Hitchhiker's" series, I found the conclusion to be a bit of a downer. Not that it was unexpected:

"So, this is it. We're all going to die!"

    :(

5th of the increasingly inaccurate named trilogy ... need I say more? Love Douglas Adams!

Really enjoyed it. However, I do remember hating some parts of it, just can't remember which.
