“These books are so good, and funny. As the characters go trekkin' across the universe, they go to many wonderous places and get caught in a lot of messes. The book is always funny, and make you laugh out loud. This book has all five books in the "trilogy", and an extra short story, telling you more about Zaphod Beeblebrox.”

It is the first in the classic "5-part" trilogy involving Arthur Dent and his friend Ford Prefect. When earth is destroyed. Arthur's alien friend Ford drags him around space. Together they get in trouble, get lost, and meet characters from other planets including travelers Zaphod Beeblebox, Vogons, and Slartibartgast. Hitchhiker's Guide also offers such insights as "a towel is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have". The novel is imaginative, witty, and random in characters and ideas. I thoroughly enjoyed this insane story. ”

I love Marvin and Zaphod and you don't get to see much of them in the last books, which is just sad. Douglas Adams story is ridiculously funny.”
