I was really not into this parenting book. It's written from a Christian perspective, and was not nearly as gentle a form of discipline as I was expecting. I found a number of examples of the system to be offensive, such as letting your child flunk a grade to learn a lesson firsthand rather than taking an active role in making sure your child does his homework and studies.

I have read this book more than once and continue to find helpful information within it's covers. Love and Logic makes sense, it helps kids and parents learn through realistic consequences.

Yes, I totally think this book is worthwhile. My sister is an alternative education teacher/principal and her school offers this course in a parenting class. She has mentioned it in passing numerous times so I picked it up at the library. My husband and I both read it and it is a great parenting tool. It deals a lot with empowering kids to make good choices. There's also a lot of humor in it.

Reading this is worth your time.

I like the title, but what's inside? Anything worthwhile?
